Hellogoodbye AGAIN!

I swear this is my last Hellogoodbye post (for this month at least)! But today I finally recieved my package in the post! I thought I would show you what comes when you ordered a wallet bundle from the website! I'vejust looked and the bundles are no longer selling! I didn't even know they were limited but I think they might be back up sometime soon, perhaps after the holidays. If you DID buy abundle then well done, because I can't see the t-shirt anywhere else in their merch so it may have been a one off! Okay! Down to business. I haven't pictured the CD or the poster, because they're both basically just the album art. Firstly, the t-shirt!
Sorry about my crappy webcam quality! The tshirt is American Apparel and I think I got a men's medium. It fits as well as a men's shirt would (there were girly fits available but they squash my boobs!), on the front it had "Hellogoodbye" and "Would It Kill You?" written in alternating text and it's lovely and thin and soft!These are the cute badges! There's two in a pack, one with Hellogoodbye written on it and the second with a tiny bit from the album art. It's nice that everything ties together simply, it makes the collection more special! I wish people still collected badges and wore them and stuff. I used to collect Green Day badges when I was fourteen!
Lastly this is the wallet! I wasn't sure what the wallet was going to be so I was pretty excited about it! It's what I expected, a plastic wallet with little clear slots for different things. I'm going to use mine to store all my tickets from gigs that I've been to. This also features artwork from the album, with "Would It Kill You?" written on the inside.

That concludes it! I'm so happy with this, I feel like part of a special gang, and if you're thinking of buying the album, I would suggest buying it on CD because it sounds amazing! I was playing mine in the kitchen as I made scrambled eggs this morning! Like I said, there's also a poster and the actual album! I know I always say it but I don't get sponsored to say any of this stuff, this is all my own opinion and my opinion is that Hellogoodbye fucking ROCK and deserve massive amounts of respect! Please buy this album!

Hellogoodbye - Would It Kill You: Review!

So I got my digital copy of the new Hellogoodbye record in my inbox this week after what seems like MONTHS of anticipation! As I said before, I ordered the wallet bundle but living in the UK, having a digital copy to listen to straight away is a god send!

I've been listening to it basically non-stop for three days now and I have to say, it's a perfect record. For fans (or not fans!) of Hellogoodbye, forget everything you remember from Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! because with a new line up (including past Early November member Joseph Marro) they have completely changed their sound. They've matured from the synth pop into something more folky. It's energetic and fun and sometimes frantic. River's voice goes perfectly with the style of the music and I think really, it just sounds happy. It's a content record, it's like the happiness the band feels touches you through the music.

I loved old Hellogoodbye, but as I've grown so has their sound. There's a lot of appearances by ukuleles and xylophones, it sounds innocent and pure. The only fault I could find with this album is that it's so short! At just under 40 minutes with 11 tracks, I wanted it to last forever!

I would totally recommend this for everyone. Buy it for yourself, buy it for your hipster brother, buy it for your mum for Christmas! The lists are endless, just go out their and support this amazing band. My favourite tracks include Finding Something To Do (ba da da da da!) and the old favourite The Thoughts That Give Me The Creeps. Betrayed By Bones is fantastic too, with a big band feel that for some reason reminds me of Dead Man's Bones! I don't think there's a weak track on this album, I don't think I can praise it highly enough! I do tend to get over-excited about stuff I like, but I really really mean it this time! Hellogoodbye are asking: Would It Kill You?

FINALLY. ABOUT TIME. WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE, ETC. Hellogoodbye's new "magnus opem of a record" is available to preorder! I've been waiting for this album for it seems about a year and a half, so I'm super excited. It's going to be a must have for music fans, with songs like Thoughts That Give Me The Creeps and When We First Met already recieving positive reviews, as well as being exceptional songs. The band are going in a more folky direction to the last album, with lots of ukuleles and guitars rather than casio keyboards.

They've got a great selection of bundles to preorder, as well as just a digital copy. Personally I went for the 'wallet bundle' which comes with the CD, 7" single, t-shirt, poster, postcards and special art wallet. I think in some ways I'm quite lucky that I live in England because the pound is better than the dollar, so the $40 it would cost turned out to be £36 (including international shipping). Even so, I would splash out on these guys anyway as they're one of my favourite bands. You can choose and preorder here to make some awesome guys super happy.
