Top That!

If you live in the UK and have Twitter you've probably heard that Netflix has finally come over to us. REJOICE, FOR THIS IS GOOD. Netflix has some of my very favourite films it its library for me to watch whenever I want. I feel like watching Robocop at 4am on a Wednesday evening? NO PROBLEM! Trying to remember a little bit of dialogue from The Last Unicorn? DON'T SWEAT IT! etc etc, so basically Netflix is amazing. One of the first things I noticed was that Netflix had TEEN WITCH on it. Firstly, this is quite strange because its not exactly a well known film over here in the UK and secondly CAN THIS BE HAPPENING?

If you've never seen Teen Witch, it is an 80s film about a girl who becomes a witch on her sixteenth birthday. Kind of like Sabrina right? WRONG. This girl is allowed to use her powers for purely superficial reasons (because hey, this is the 80s) and she doesn't even learn a lesson at the end! Teen Witch was supposed to be a sort of sequel to Teen Wolf, except for girls which is why everyone has perms and theres like a billion dance montages. NOT THAT I'M COMPLAINING. Far from it, I love this film! I've never been able to work out if it is completely serious or just taking the piss out of teen films at the time but it is possibly one of the greatest things committed to film literally EVER. I took the liberty of ironing your homework screencapping some of my favourite bits, but if you want to see a REAL write up of Teen Witch head over to AgentLover's blog because she does it so much better than the rest of us!

haha, dick.
This is Blake Lively's sister, you guys!! Remember her from Twin Peaks?!
Richie is basically the best thing in this film. This kid was on another planet when he did the acting for this, completely insane!
 Basically.
 This is the ultimate insult.
Check out those rolled up jeans! I love him.
I love best friend Polly A LOT more than Louise. She actually has the best fashion AND morals!

Well. If that hasn't swayed you to get a free months trial with Netflix and watch this immediately then I don't know what will! For real though, Netflix is legit. I might even pay for it after this trial is over!

omg I LOVE this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The songs are so cheesy, it's just the best. The guy who plays the guy looks like he's 35, and definitely not like a teenager! It's so funny! This post is taking me back to being a kid lol

  2. Richie looks like Greg Miller from IGN, which is interesting because the actor and the character both have the surname 'Miller'. Also they are both hilarious.
